What is the most exciting thing to recently happen for your business or in your industry?
Asador Del Sur has been nominated as part of Ian Froeb’s STL 100 Best 2023 Restaurants. We are very proud to be among so many amazing restaurants.
What do you want customers to know?
We would like to introduce our customers to our delicious authentic South American Cuisine that you can’t find anywhere around. My husband Daniel Gonzalez was born in Uruguay and I was born in Ecuador so our restaurant is a mix of both cultures. Our mission is to transport our native countries in our food.
What does chamber membership mean for you and your business?
The chamber has been a great tool and support for a small business like ours. We moved from Florida to open this restaurant right before the pandemic and The Chamber was the first one to welcome and introduce themselves. They helped introduce us to such a warm community and connect us with resources from our neighbors and other restaurant owners. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to not have the support of the Mid County Chamber of Commerce in this important adventure.
What is your favorite Maplewood or Richmond Heights Chamber business?
We believe that all of our neighbors are amazing, but without the help of The Blue Duck and Scheidt True Value we would have not been as successful. We are blessed to be around so many wonderful business owners.
