New in 2022 – A Letter From Executive Director Jeannine Beck
Dear Members,
It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks, we’ll be ringing in a New Year. Thankfully, we are in a vastly better place now than this time last year. I recognize and applaud each of you for the courage and perseverance it took to get here.
The pandemic underscored the need for flexibility and has given us the motivation and confidence to implement some changes that have been in discussion for years. 2022 will serve as a transitional year as we introduce new events and programs like the Chamber Champion Leadership Breakfast, Pet Mayor, and a new and improved Trivia Night! While we know these decisions are right for the Chamber in the long run, we anticipate some initial “growing pains” as our membership acclimates.
Our exciting new plans will move some of the highlights of the Gala into multiple events throughout the year. In recent years, attendance at the Annual Dinner Auction Gala and Awards Ceremony has continued to dwindle and many of our newer members are looking for less formal ways to gather and support the Chamber. The auction will be moved to our existing Trivia Night in January, and we will be recognizing community leaders in the Fall with the newly created Chamber Champion Leadership Breakfast.
The timing of this letter is intentional, as planning for our 2022 Trivia Night is underway. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, January 15th with a Luau theme. The auction being held that night will take the place of the one traditionally held at the Gala. If you typically donate an item or purchase a table at our Annual Dinner Auction; we hope you will consider reallocating your support to the Trivia Night event instead. A donation form is included if you are able to contribute. You will not be solicited to make any further auction donations for 2022.
Please don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions at 314.781.8588 regarding these changes or others. As always, thank you for your ongoing support as a member of the Mid County Chamber of Commerce.
Sincerely,
Jeannine Beck
Executive Director
