The Great Pumpkin Glow

The Great Pumpkin Glow is a new event in 2023! The streets in downtown Maplewood will be glowing with luminaries, pumpkins, and with businesses and street poles decked out for the season.

The event will kick off in CNB Bank park with our pumpkin carving contest and festive music, followed by merchant open houses, street sales, trick-or-treating, and more!

GENERAL INFORMATION

5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The event kicks off in CNB Bank park at 5:00 p.m. with pumpkin carving contest entries on display. The evening will include merchant open houses, trick-or treating, and seasonal festivities. A complete list of activites will be posted in early October.

Interested in registering your business to participate?

Participation is limited to Chamber Members and/or any business located in Maplewood or Richmond Heights with a valid business license.  If your business is not located in downtown Maplewood, then a location will be designated for you to set-up in. The early registration discounted rate is offered through Thursday, October 5.  The final deadline to register is Thursday, October 12th.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

DEADLINE TO REGISTER PUMPKIN IS OCTOBER 18th

Enter our pumpkin carving contest for a chance to win a first, second, or third place prize. All entries will be on display during the Great Pumpkin Glow on Thursday, October 26. It’s free to enter but pre-registration is required.

Guidelines for the contest include:
– Pumpkins must be pre-registered by October 18th in order to participate in the contest.
– Pumpkins must be completed and carved upon arrival. No carving takes place at the event.
– Pumpkins must be dropped off between 4:00-5:15 p.m. at CNB Bank Park on October 26. Pumpkins dropped off after 5:15 p.m. can be displayed but cannot win the contest.
– Pumpkins must be family friendly. Pumpkins submitted with controversial/offensive/political statements will be disqualified.
– Pumpkins should include a flameless candle for illumination. No lit candles please.
– Pumpkins should be picked up by 7:45 p.m. on October 26th. Pumpkins not picked up by 7:45 p.m. will be discarded
– A portion of the pumpkin must be carved. Pumpkins that have no carving will be disqualified.
